The site has seen some revisions lately... if this is your first time visiting, it has always looked this good. We welcome Andrew Wilson into the band. He's our new bassist (and he comes equipped with a deep voice - how convenient!). Also, Joel Franke will be playing his last show with Small Town Fires on Nov. 13th at The M Room. Lack of free time and a job search has made it difficult for him to continue. We will miss him, but you will see him in production credits and will continue on helping us record the EP.
Also, check out our Mysapce- www.myspace.com/smalltownfires for CLIPS OF BRAND NEW MATERIAL ON OUR UPCOMING EP!

Jeff here again. Just a brief update on what's going on with the band - We're currently working on our debut, which will most likely be a 6 or 7 song EP. We don't have a title yet, but we've been kicking around a few ideas- "Enjoy Small Town Fires Responsibly," "Waves, Caves and Boats," "Thriller," "Metal Up Your Ass," etc. We're playing a couple of shows this month and a show or two in December, but we're mostly preparing for the future. Like Marty's kids, something always has to be done about the future. My lead in Fantasy Football has diminished. Joel Franke, once at the bottom of the pile, beat me a couple of weeks ago, and it was definitely a blow to my confidence. We had a band meeting about it. Everything is okay now.
You will be able to buy T-shirts online soon. Also, if you play cello, violin, or any kind of horn, please email us at contact@smalltownfires.com. We need people for the record. Over and out.

Hey all, it's Jeff, back from Japan. The trip was lovely and so are the Japanese - giving up their seat on the bus and bowing as my train departs the station. Jetset Records in Kyoto, Japan is a fine record store. Picked up some tunes - "Side Farmers" by Halfby (bleeding pop), "We Love You Pizzicato Five" and I do love them, and a splendid compilation from Escalator Records. Good stuff.
We are halfway through our Philadelphia/Jersey small club assault. We rocked the M room on Sunday, putting us two concerts out of the wild card race. We not-so rocked Grape Street. It was very last minute, although we appreciate them having us. We have two all-ages shows coming up. Tomorrow, we return to The Stone Pony, and then back to Philly on Oct. 4th for The Fire. We're headlining that show, so you may be up past your bedtime. Just to let you know, I am 3 and 0 in the fantasy football league and Joel Franke is 0 and 3. Tsk Tsk. I am probably jinxing myself for this Sunday. I have hope in the Phillies. I know. I know.

Jeff here. Our one week blitz tour of Philly starts on Sunday, Sept. 23rd at the posh and stylish M Room. After that, it's Grape Street and The Stone Pony (which is not really philly but we'll count it) and then The Fire with Thing One. Plenty of opportunities for the locals to come see us. Our shows have been pretty interesting. We had a backstage at the North Star, which was an actual "green room." We're moving on up, I guess. Joel and I have started our fantasy football season, and I cannot tell you how excited I am to watch something else besides the Phillies blow playoff spots. This Sunday, I'm off to Kyoto, Japan for a little more than a week. I'm very excited to be on the other side of the globe. I'm scheduled to play three shows there - but I don't know where they are or where i'm gonna get a guitar. I guess it will work itself out.
Also, we have three T-shirt designs coming out soon and you can get them at shows. There's a mint green, yellow and black shirt. A color for all tastes and moods. They will be 15 dollars to order (10 at shows!). So get them before you have to pay 20 dollars at Hot Topic (remember- we're Small Town Fires... that places us right next to Slipknot).
